Nichola Ashby MARLA
Office Manager/Valuer

Nichola was raised in Otley. In the very early years of her estate agency career, she trained and worked in Huddersfield, Mirfield and Golcar. For a period of time Nichola decided to change her career path and left the North to live and work in London, firstly as a nanny and then as a restaurant manager (hence she has a real passion for food!).

After a while she realised that her heart was in estate agency and retuned to Leeds to work alongside her mum in Armley where she settled and has been working for almost thirty years now.

Nichola has a very strong passion for property, high level customer service and she has an extensive knowledge of Armley, Wortley, Farnley, Bramley and the surrounding areas. She always maintains solid working relationships with landlords, tenants, sellers and buyers and has a loyal customer base who, through the generations, have bought, sold and rented throughout this period of time. She is very much looking forward to the new chapter in LS12 with Hardisty and Co.

Jamie Gathercole

Jamie who is originally from Hull attended Wolfreton School and achieved his A levels in sixth form. At a young age Jamie decided that further education wasn’t for him and very early on wanted to grasp working life head on. His career set off in the hospitality and catering industry working in bars and then restaurants. Jamie soon worked his way up to management level and excelled in customer service and engaging with his clients. Jamie moved to Leeds in 2007 when he decided that he wanted his career to move forward in a different direction. Jamie joined a large conveyancing firm and instantly fell in love with the property market, conveyancing and all aspects of the industry but Jamie missed the client engagement. Within a short space of time he moved to a successful Leeds city centre estate agent valuing and negotiating in both sales and lettings and he quickly set up excellent working relationships with a substantial client portfolio. Jamie joined the Hardisty team in April 2014, Valuing at the Horsforth office and has never looked back since! Jamie lives locally and has an excellent knowledge of the area and has now achieved his MNAEA.

Mark moved north from Rugby in 2000 to attend Trinity University in Horsforth to complete a degree to be a primary school teacher. During this time Mark undertook a job in Leeds city centre as a chef to help finance his living whilst studying. When Mark graduated he decided against a career in teaching and felt a shift into the banking sector was a far more exciting prospect for him. Mark soon secured a position in one of the large banking institutions and during his seven years working there took the initiative to undertake his CeMAP qualifications, independently, in order to develop and progress his career to advising.  Soon after passing his exams Mark worked for two corporate estate agents as a mortgage advisor.

Mark now resides in North Leeds with his dog Loki and joined Hardisty Financial in December 2017 and is a dedicated, friendly and professional mortgage and protection advisor who goes above and beyond to see and meet his client’s needs.  Mark is an avid Coventry City supporter and loves to go watch the matches, enjoys walking his dog and reading.
