This International Women's Day, we're thrilled to share the inspiring journey of our Branch Manager, Georgina Carroll. Her knowledge, passion and dedication to her work continue to empower and inspire us daily. 

How has your role evolved since you first started? 

My role has evolved dramatically since I began as a Sales Negotiator in Horsforth, knowing little about the property industry. Within a year, I earned my MNAEA qualification and continued building my skills. After a few years, I was promoted to Senior Sales Negotiator to help grow a new office, gaining valuable experience in team and office management. Joining the Lomond Group, I advanced to Assistant Manager in Horsforth, which led to my current role as Branch Manager. 

Have you faced any challenges in the property industry? How did you overcome them? 

Over the years, I've navigated market shifts, new legislation, and complex property transactions, including the impact of COVID-19. Strong relationships with colleagues, seniors, solicitors, and clients have been key to overcoming challenges, allowing us to support each other and find practical solutions. 

What achievement are you most proud of in your career? 

Being named Top Branch Manager for Yorkshire at the 2024 Lomond Awards was one of the proudest moments in my career so far. I am incredibly grateful to my team and the successes we achieved together that year. 

Can you share a moment where you felt like you were making a real impact? 

I once helped a wonderful family find their forever home tailored to their disabled daughter's needs. After several setbacks, I found the perfect property and guided them through the process. Seeing their excitement and knowing I made a real difference was incredibly rewarding. 

What advice would you give other women aspiring to enter the property industry? 

Go for it! You'll meet amazing people, from colleagues to clients. Every day is different, keeping things exciting, with plenty of roles and opportunities to explore in the industry.
